History[edit]
Reckoner was formed by Dave Tidmarsh & Ed Bramford during the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020. Having been friends for years and playing together for other bands & solo artists, the duo decided to set about writing music for a project they could call their own. Due to the enforced lockdown restrictions, early writing sessions were held remotely between each members respective studio.
Over the next year, a body of circa 30 songs were written & an extensive plan was put in action to launch the band. Auditions were held & members Joey Strange (bass guitar), Spencer Dixon (guitar) & Phil Sparks (Vocals) joined to complete the lineup.
With the lineup complete, work began to complete 5 songs produced & written by Tidmarsh & Bramford, operating out of Tidmarsh's 'Zephyr Studios' in Leicester. Reckoner's live debut was held at The Old Bus Depot, Nottingham on 5th March 2023. The band supported Creature as part of their 'Haunt' UK tour to an incredibly receptive crowd.
