John T. Myers (30 March 1984) is an English Professional Wrestling Referee, who is best known for refereeing with Defiant (formerly WCPW), New Generation Wrestling (NGW), 3 Count Wrestling (3CW), and NORTH Wrestling. He has also refereed for Main Event Wrestling, RISE (England), Tidal Wrestling, 5 Star Wrestling, First Class Wrestling, All Star Wrestling and LDN Wrestling[1]. He predominantly has worked in the North East of England, and goes by the moniker of "Jumping" John when refereeing.

Professional career[edit]

Wrestler (2001-2002)[edit]

John began training to be a professional wrestler at the age of 17, and made his first in-ring debut in 2001 for the In dependant Wrestling Federation (IWF) in Blyth. John was predominantly a tag-team wrestler at this time, teaming with Tony Spitfire.

In 2002 John picked up an injury that meant he took some time away from wrestling.[2]

Referee (2003-Present)[edit]

It was in mid-2003 when John took on the role of Referee, and after several events opted to make the transition permanent.

In March 2006 John made his first appearance with All Star Wrestling at the Middlesbrough Town Hall, in Middlesbrough (John's home town).

In April of 2017, John refereed at the NGW Butlins event in Skegness. In August John was one of the officials that refereed matches for the What Culture Pro Wrestling World Cup Finals[3], notable contests included the semi-final contest between Will Ospreay and Ricochet. The tournament was eventually won by Yujiro Kushida.

In February of 2018 John referee for 5 Star Wrestling at their Metro Radio Arena Event in Newcastle, shown on FreeSport Live TV[4], featuring many high profile wrestlers on the roster including Rob Van Dam, Rey Mysterio, Zack Gibson, John Morrison, Jack Hager, Adam Maxted, El Ligero and Eddie Ryan..

Out of wrestling[edit]

John is married, with two children.

In 2014 John began a line of wrestling merchandise, which is aimed at at fans who appreciate and support the role of the referee in wrestling.
