Reference Services Section (RSS)
Reference Services Section (RSS) "represents frontline librarians, information specialists, and library support staff engaged in all aspects of reference and information services across all types of libraries".[1]
The Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) is a division of the American Library Association. RUSA members work in different library settings but have one principal characteristic in common: public services. RUSA is home to library workers who have direct contact with people. The association serves people in public and academic libraries who provide services including reader advisory, collection access or delivery, electronic tools, first-year success, local history, financial literacy, business formation, or who manage front-line workers.

RSS members are members of the Reference and User Services Association of the American Library Association.
Education Opportunities
Education & Professional Development for Reference monitors, assesses, and promotes the creation of library school curricula for reference librarians. It also promotes professional development and training while identifying and researching issues pertaining to the education and professional development of reference librarians and library support personnel.
