Callum "Cal" (born: January 4, 1998 [age 24]), better known online as Refraction (formerly known as calofdutyowner), is a British gaming YouTuber known for playing on the Minecraft server Hypixel, on its most popular game mode called Skyblock. He also used to play the game modes Skywars and Blitz Survival games but those have pretty much gradually stopped appearing on his channel since he started playing Skyblock on August 4, 2019.

History

Callum created his YouTube account on May 7, 2013 but began uploading on December 24, 2014. He uploaded his first Skywars video on June 16, 2015. He uploaded his first Hypixel Skyblock video on August 4, 2019 which became his best performing content. Thanks to the Skyblock’s success and losing interest in Minecraft PvP, he stopped uploading and playing Skywars with his last video being on June 3, 2020, but he would play Skywars again for nostalgic purposes on June 15, 2022

Callum created a secondary YouTube channel called "Refrextra" on March 28, 2018, but began streaming Fortnite on May 9, 2019. He uploaded his first and only video on that channel that wasn't a stream on August 1, 2018, His last stream was on August 12, 2018 as he lost interest in the game. Callum has repeatedly said he is ashamed of that channel. Callum returned to Fortnite and streamed it on his twitch channel on July 25, 2022

Callum created a twitch channel called "refrextra" on September 3, 2020, and in his first stream he played Overwatch. Callum stopped streaming on Twitch with his last stream being on November 17, 2020. Callum returned to his twitch channel on October 10, 2021 in which he would play New World but stopped, with his last stream of New World being on November 11, 2021. Callum returned to twitch and streamed Overwatch on January 23, 2022, although he only streamed Overwatch once. Callum streamed Fortnite on July 25, 2022.

Again, little is known about Callum's family, other than he has a brother that was in the newspaper once and a bulldog puppy.

• His first editor was "Ben" but he resigned as he got a more time-consuming job.
• Ben actually helped Callum edit one of his videos after retiring.
• After Ben, Callum got a new editor called "Tim".
• He once dressed up as an e-boy, and became 'e-boy Cal' for a week.
• His favorite book is The Hungry Caterpillar.
• He used to work for McDonalds before YouTube.
• He is one of the richest players in Hypixel Skyblock
• He once "deep-throated" his microphone and then it became an inside joke in his channel.
• He said that he was working on a "cool" Hypixel Skyblock video on "Chimera" but due to the many changes happening to that item, Callum scraped the video; all we have is a 30-second clip, and the rest of the video is considered lost media.
• The same happened with a video about "Black Necron Armor" but Callum hasn't confirmed the cancellation of that project.
• Callum has a playlist in which all of his Hypixel Skyblock videos are in chronological order
