History
Adapting the solo anchor format, Regional TV News was launched on July 26, 2021, on GTV across the provinces into a national newscast, with the sole launching morning newscasts[2] and starting from Balitang Amianan (Now One North Central Luzon) of GMA Dagupan (North Central Luzon), presented by CJ Torida (Anchor).[3]
The newscast was first aired on timeslots from Monday to Friday at 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM and Saturday at 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM on GTV.[4] It was later moved to timeslots from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM from Monday to Saturday.[5]
Eleksyon 2022 Special Coverage was held from May 9-10, 2022. CJ Torida from Balitang Amianan and Sarah Hilomen-Velasco from One Mindanao anchored for May 9. While Jessie Cruzat from Balitang Bicolandia anchored the following day. [6]
On June 20, 2022, Balitang Southern Tagalog joins the rotation of GMA Regional TV stations across the country in hosting GTV's national morning newscast Regional TV News, originally with anchors Saunar-Gasang and Medrano serving as occasional anchors.[7]
