Christianity is the predominant religion in Madagascar practiced by an estimated 85.3% of the total population as of 2020. Most Malagasy Christians are either Protestant (45.8%) or Catholic (38.1%).[2] There are also substantial minorities of the adherents of Islam and Traditional faiths. Around 6.9% of population is non-religious i.e., Atheist, Agnostic or Humanist etc.
