Renowned LA is a streetwear brand founded in Los Angeles. The company was founded in 2011 by John Dean and inspired by the street style of Southern California. Although available in stores, Renowned LA sells its streetwear primarily online and similar to other modern streetwear brands, leverages hunger marketing via scarcity and timed releases.[1][2] Particularly, Renowned LA gained notoriety when Chris Brown wore a shirt on the cover of Nylon (magazine).[3] Since then, the brand has raised investment, collaborated with VFiles,[4] Dok2[5] and Chris Brown's Black Pyramid[6] and has been covered by major fashion publications such as Complex,[7] The Source,[8] and XXL.
