The Rensselaer City School District is the public school district of Rensselaer, New York. The district is an independent public entity. It is governed by the Rensselaer City School District Board of Education, whose members are elected in non-partisan elections for staggered, four-year terms. The board selects a superintendent, who is the district's chief administrative official.
In 2007, a new campus was constructed with all grade levels sharing a single building with separate wings for elementary, junior and senior high. [1]
