Renzo Francalanci (25 April 1935 – 2 March 2021)[1] was an Italian priest, archimandrite (chief of monastery) of Melkite Greek Catholic Church and honorary canon of the cathedral of Prato.
Biography
Born in 1935, he studied in Prato and Pistoia seminaries to be ordained priest in 1957 by bishop Pietro Fiordelli. He founded the new parish of the Holy Family. In 1969, he became parish priest at San Paolo, where he stayed until 1971. In 1980 he became rector of Our Lady of Lilium shrine, untill his death in 2021.[2][3][4][5]
