Repeal the Second Amendment: The Case for a Safer America is a non-fiction book written by Allan J. Lichtman and published in 2020. In the book, Allan argues the true meaning of the Second Amendment and how it was successfully distorted and reinvented by the NRA, claiming that it protects an individual right to keep and bear arms. Lichtman also argues that repealing the Second Amendment is the only way to effectively curb the gun violence epidemic in America.[1][2] Lichtman was inspired by the late-Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, who had advocated the gun control advocates to push for the Second Amendment repeal in the wake of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.[3]
