Requisition VR: Home Not Alone is a 4-player online co-op survival game set in an apocalyptic world developed by Arcadia and published by Spheroom. The game is currently in production. The early access is planned for April. The game should be compatible with Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets.

Plot

It takes place in the foggy fictional town of Autumn, Nevermont, somewhere in the USA. An unknown virus has struck, causing the sky to turn yellow and biomass clusters to stick to houses.

In the summer of 2022, something strange happened. For several months, local residents have observed lights over the closed part of the town called Zone 154. On several occasions, people have heard frightening and loud noises coming from the Daisy Creek nuclear power plant built by a large technology corporation N-Core and seen flashes of lightning above it. Later, the people of Autumn found that all the streets were covered with a thin layer of orange pollen of unknown origin. This pollen has a strange effect on physical and mental health for all who have contact with it. The strangest thing is that cellular and radio communications stopped working for some time after the appearance of the pollen. Journalist investigations connected this with toxic waste allegedly dumped from a nuclear power plant into the Khon River. There was no evidence for this. The press service of N-Core denied any connection between the fog and the company's activities and the nuclear power plant.

On September 2, 2022, an explosion occurred in the territory of Zone 154. However, some eyewitnesses claimed that it was not just an explosion but an object like an asteroid that fell from the sky. At the same time, another incident occurred with a rumble at the nuclear power plant. The weather was terrible that day – the whole sky was covered with thunderclouds, and it started to rain in the evening. However, this rain had an unnatural orange color, and the clouds soon acquired the same color. The emergency alert system announced a statewide environmental emergency, a curfew, and a requirement for residents to stay in their homes and, in no case, go out in the rain without protection. It rained all night, and on the morning of September 3, the people of Nevermont woke up in a completely different state.

Gameplay

Requisition VR requires VR headsets to play the game. The controllers are used to craft weapons, fight zombies, and interact with the environment and inventory. The player carries around a backpack to put items, weapons, clothes, food, bandages, etc. The mechanic also has a remote grab. It operates at a distance of approximately 2 meters. It is necessary to force the player to constantly bend down, crawl, and perform other actions that interfere with the flow of gameplay.

The crafting system is one of the essential parts of the game. The majority of items can be taken, thrown, and used. Large pieces of furniture can be destroyed, and smaller items can be extracted from them.

All items have multiple stats, such as HP, mass, and class. There are also different types of items – indestructible environmental items, firearms, furniture, and steel arms. The player can combine over 300 objects to get the perfect weapon, even something bizarre such as a toaster and a baseball bat.

The game has single-player and multiplayer modes.
