Resmi R Nair is an Indian women’s rights activist and model from Kerala, India. She was the co-founder of the 2014 Kiss of Love protest in Kerala.[1]
Early life and background
Resmi was born to Ramachandran Nair and Radhamani Amma in Kollam district of Kerala. She completed her schooling from her native town Pathanapuram in Kollam district. After completing her graduation in Electronics and Communication Engineering, she joined Tata Consultancy Services as an Associate.[citation needed] In 2010, she left the job and started actively involving in modelling.[2] Resmi married social activist Rahul PS and they have two children.[3]
Career
Resmi was the co-founder of Kiss of Love protest in Kerala.[4] It was a non-violent protest against moral policing which started in Kerala, and later spread to other parts of India.[5][6] Resmi is also a model and was a finalist of Playboy’s Miss Social 2014 Beauty pageant.[7]
