RestaurantEquipment.Bid was created to provide users with a marketplace of surplus, overstocked, clearance, and used restaurant and food-service equipment.[1]. The team moves food service equipment in and out of restaurants and supermarkets. After receiving requests from customers to dispose of this displaced equipment, the team created an auction marketplace system[2].
Development[edit]
The marketplace began as an eBay storefront, named “TagexLiquidation.” After working with various customers, RestaurantEquipment.Bid was developed as an independent auction marketplace.
Functionality[edit]
RestaurantEquipment.Bid functions as an online auction marketplace. Clients include foodservice operators, restaurants[3], convenience stores, supermarkets, banks, and real estate firms. Previously used items are auctioned to the general public, starting at 1.00 USD[4]
