Retirement Committee (Georgia Senate)
The Senate Retirement Committee is an eight-member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, an ex-officio, and four members. The Committee operates under a Senate mandate to regulate all matters dealing with retirement in the state of Georgia and the effect of these programs on Georgia's retired citizens.[1]
Scope and jurisdiction
The Senate Retirement Committee is responsible for all issues dealing with state retirement programs and their associated trusts as well as their impact on Georgia citizens.[1]
