Reverb Church worship experience.

Reverb Church is a non-denominational church pastored by Bryan Lamoureux. The church was established in January 2012 in St. Augustine, Florida. It currently has two locations in Saint Augustine, with a third location launching in Fall of 2018. The three locations, based in the NorthEast Florida region, are found in World Golf Village, Nocatee, and in Downtown Saint Augustine.

History

Pastor Bryan Lamoureux, alongside his wife Renee Lamoureux, decided to plant a church in Saint Augustine in 2012. Before Reverb Church, Bryan Lamoureux was the co-pastor of Journey Church in Jacksonville, Florida for five years. Reverb Church began meeting in WAYR, a local radio station, before its official launch in 2012. The church then moved to Pacetti Bay Middle School, where they currently meet. They recently purchased land, and their building should be completed in 2020. The average weekly church attendance is 575 people, as of Summer 2018.

Locations

Experiences are held on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the World Golf Village location and 10:00 a.m. at the Nocatee location. The broadcast campus is located at Pacetti Bay Middle School in World Golf Village and is pastored by Bryan Lamoureux. The second location is held at Palm Valley Academy in Nocatee. The future location in Downtown Saint Augustine will be meeting at Ketterlinus Elementary School. Pastor Bryan's message will be broadcast to each Reverb Church location every Sunday.

Microsites

Reverb Church launches mini locations known as "microsites." The Saint Augustine Record states in an article, "The church uses the term “Microsite” to describe the first phase of their strategy for campus expansion. Microsites provide worship and a message, as well as children’s ministry activities, but they also provide a time for vision casting and engagement with Reverb Church leaders and volunteers in a smaller, more intimate setting. Microsites are designed to introduce the community to Reverb Church before launching Sunday morning worship experiences."[1] With the broadcast campus building in the works, the church still plans to plant these future sites to reach the city of Saint Augustine.

Mission and Outreach

Reverb Church's mission is to "Resound the Message, Make Disciples, and Plant Churches." The vision statement is to "Passionately connect people to an authentic life in Christ." The Reverb Church website communicates, "Generosity and service are at the heart of Reverb Outreach. We believe one of the best ways to make a difference in someone’s life is to demonstrate the love of God through giving or serving."[2] After the devastation of Hurricane Irma, local Saint Augustine churches gathered together to serve the community, including Reverb Church. Laura Hampton from The St. Augustine Record writes, "A group of 15 to 20 churches in St. John's County have come together to help the community recover from Hurricane Irma...The group, which calls themselves 'The Collective STA,' was created last year when Hurricane Matthew swept through the region."
