"Revolution of the Daleks" is a special episode of the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who, first broadcast on BBC One. It was written by Chris Chibnall, and directed by Lee Haven Jones. The special follows the twelfth series.

The episode stars Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor, alongside Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole, and Mandip Gill as her companions, Graham O'Brien, Ryan Sinclair and Yasmin Khan, respectively.

Development[edit]

"Revolution of the Daleks" was written by showrunner Chris Chibnall.[1] The title of the special episode was revealed after the credits of the twelfth series finale, "The Timeless Children".[2] The episode will feature the Daleks, last seen in "Resolution" (2019).[3]

Promotional stills from filming were released at a virtual Comic Con on 9 October 2020.[4]

Casting[edit]

Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill reprise their roles as Graham O'Brien, Ryan Sinclair and Yasmin Khan, respectively.[3]
