Rex Teo is an entrepreneur and NFT creator from Singapore.[1] He is founder of NFTs Mutant Ape Kids Club (MAKC) and Bored Ape Teen Club (BATC), co-founder of TRX Labs, and co-founder & CEO of Upstairs, an NFT marketplace.[2]
Life and career[edit]
Teo was born and raised in Singapore.[3] He graduated from the Nanyang Technological University.[4]
He started his NFT career by launching his first Bored Ape Teen Club (BATC).[5]
He launched Mutant Ape Kids Club (MAKC) in December 2021 with 3,000 digital NFT collectibles on the Ethereum blockchain, which has since generated more than US$10 million in revenue.[6][7]
In March 2022, his company announced to launch another NFT, Zombie Max (ZMAX).[6]
In 2022, he co-founded Upstairs, an NFT marketplace. It officially launched on October 10, 2022, and Teo became CEO of the company.[8] It will have multi-chain integration and support ETH and BNB chains for deposit and payment.[9]
