Rhea Resham Bari
Rhea Resham Bari (born 18th December 1995) is a public personality, an Indian fashion model and a beauty queen from Odisha. She was recently seen in India's Next Top Model[1], which is an Indian reality televisionseries, which premiered on 19 July 2015 and broadcast on MTV India. The series is an Indian version of Tyra Banks-created 2003 American reality television series America's Next Top Model. She represented Odisha at the World Supermodel India Pageant 2016[2] [3]where she was crowned as the Runner-up and also won the subtitle ‘Face of the Pageant’. She is also the winner of Unlimited Mega Model Hunt 2016 from Chennai. In 2017, Rhea was crowned as the second runner up of Miss Maharashtra Queen 2017.
Early Life
Rhea was born on 18th December 1995 in Bhubaneswar the capital state of Odisha to her parents, Ram Rai Bari who is a bank manager and Babita who is a homemaker after she quit her job as a journalist. Rhea's native is Pallahara, Odisha but her actual roots belong from Jharkhand.
Rhea studied at Loyola School in Bhubaneswar, and was pursuing Bachelors in Performing Arts where she studied theatre, psychology and english at the ChristUniversity in Bangalore but later quit it due to conflicts with her health. She actively participated in sports and theatre. At school, Rhea was also a part of her school choir. Rhea has also learnt acting from Anupam Kher’s School of Acting, Actor Prepares.
Career
Rhea began her career after being crowned as the first runner up of World Super Model 2016[4]. Then she went on to winning the Unlimited Mega Model Hunt 2016 and was scouted by Prasad Bidapa in Chennai after which she signed a contract with the Prasad Bidapa Model Management. She later shifted to the Cocoaberry Talent. In the year, 2017 she moved to Mumbai to pursue her dream to become a model. She assisted Lipsa Hembram and her brand Galang Gabaan at their debut in Lakme Fashion Week – Summer/Resort 2017. Rhea then participated in Miss Maharashtra Queen 2017 and won the second runner up title. She was also awarded the subtitle for “Miss Beautiful Hair”. Rhea has also been among the top 10 of Phoenix Market’s Glam Icon 2017 and Inorbit Mall’s Model Hunt 2017. Soon, Rhea had her breakout seasons and walked for fashion weeks like, Lakme Fashion Week, Tech Fashion Tour 3.0, India Beach Fashion Week, Blenders Pride Fashion Tour and Vie Fashion Week. Rhea has worked with various eminent designers like, Nidhi Munim, Archana Kochhar, Manish Arora, Hardika Gulati, Rajat Tangri, Lalit Dalmia, Nikhil Thampi, Vikram Phadnis, Vilvin Sabu, Vinisha Rao, Nazila Sawhney, Karishma Mehta, Rocky Star, Kristy Decunha, Anupama Dayal, Sania Shroff, Nazia Rahman, Kshitijh Chaudhary, Preeti Jain, Shazia Naik, Aditi Bhalerao, Srikanth Manolia, Meghna Patankar, Nachiket Barve, Anita Dongre[5], Shloka Sudhakar and Ravi Bhalotia. A few international designers that she has worked with are Jasna Rok from and Mona from UAE. Rhea has done various institute shows and preview shows. She has also done catalogue shoots for Galang Gabaan, Archana Kochharand Nikita Mhaisalkar.
India's Next Top Model
India's Next Top Model - Season 4 aired on 6th October, 2018 on MTV India. There were 23 girls from all around the country who had come to participate in this reality show out of which only 11 made it to the model house. Rhea ended up in the Top 11 and performed two tasks on whose basis she was eliminated from the show.
Personal Life
Rhea is the only daughter and has been raised in a nuclear family. She describes herself as an introvert and shares a really close bond with her parents. From a young age, Rhea was interested to be a model. Rhea is currently not dating anyone.
Rhea supports various charitable organizations like, Dream – A Team, Pencilsof Promise, The Malala Fund, Aarna Foundations, Sense International India and Illuminate.
