Rhymes Music

Rhymes Music is a Russian independent music label. Among the artists who have released their songs on the label are: Dora, Deti Rave, kis-kis, pyrokinesis, Friendzone, Mukka, Bodiev, Obladaet, and Tima Belorusskih.

History

In 2013, a group focusing on Russian and foreign hip-hop news, Rhymes and Punches, was created on social network Vkontakte. In 2017, the community became the winner of the XVIII independent award Golden Gargoyle in the category Best music media. By October 2022, the Rhymes and Punches community had more than 5 million subscribers.

In 2017, the company organized concerts in St. Petersburg and Moscow for Obladaet, Bumble Beezy, Markul, Hleb, Yuri Khovansky, and Rickey F, with the help of the Rhymes and Punches community audience. After the events' success, it was decided to create a concert agency. In June 2017, the team organized their first own music festival, Rhymes Show, in Moscow, which was attended by 5,000 people. The festival returned in 2018 and 2019, with artists such as ATL, LSP, Malbec and Suzanna, grechka, Poshlaya Molly, FEDUK, and Gone.Fludd.

In 2018, in addition to concerts, the company began distributing music under the Rhymes Music label. In the summer of 2018, Rhymes Music signed a label contract with Gunwest, Ivan Valeev and Egor Nats.

In 2022, the sub-label "SAVAGE$TATION" was founded, aimed at a foreign audience with the genres of hyperpop, phonk and trap.
