Rich Kleiman, (born November 27, 1976) is a native New Yorker, and Kevin Durant’s longtime manager, as well as co-founder and business partner in Thirty Five Ventures. Founded in 2017, Thirty Five Ventures incorporates the duo’s existing business entities, including Durant’s personal brand/marketing portfolio and on-court contracts; an investment portfolio; media and creative development arm; and the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation. Kleiman oversees the company’s investment portfolio in over 70 companies, including Overtime, a leading sports network focused on young, digital-native sports fans; online digital-currency platform Coinbase, spare-change app Acorns, cloud-computing startup Rubrik, drink company WTRMLN WTR, fast-casual pizza chain Pieology, bike-sharing company LimeBike, delivery company Postmates, and many more. Forbes has called Kleiman a visionary with an ‘…established track records in starting companies, investing in emerging brands and in disrupting existing markets.” [5] [6]
Media projects under the Thirty Five Ventures umbrella include Boardroom, a podcast network whose guests have included Jack Dorsey of twitter, and David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs.
Rich is a board member of the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation helping to complete new basketball court renovations across the globe and opening the Durant Center in Maryland’s Prince George’s County, which helps low-income and underserved students enroll and graduate from college. [8]
Previously, Kleiman helped launch Roc Nation Sports, where he served as Vice President of the agency founded by Jay-Z. Kleiman started with Roc Nation in 2008 as a music manager [9] [10] [11]
