Richard Akerman (artist)
Richard Akerman (1942) was a British artist born in London, UK.[1] He died in his house in Spain in 2005.[2]
He studied at the Hornsey College of Arts and Crafts in the UK.[1] Richard Akerman painted floral, still life, and architectural subjects in watercolours. He exhibited with Salvador Dali and became one of the most best-selling print artists of all time.
In the eighties, he had a relationship with artist Yvonne Hawker.[3] They lived in Black Clauchrie House, a Victorian shooting lodge in Scotland.[4]
Richard Akerman's son Marcus Akerman is also an artist.[5]
