Richard Cogdell Badger (August 8, 1839-1882) was a lawyer state legislator in North Carolina. A Republican, he served in the North Carolina House of Representatives. George E. Badger was his father.

His speech "Remonal of the Disabilities of Gov; W. W. Holden: Speech of Richard C. Badger, Esq., Representative From Wake, in the Representatives, General Assembly of North Carolina January 10th, 1873" was published.[1]

He served in the Civil War. He served as Clerk of the North Carolina Senate. He was a lawyer in the impeachment trial of Holden.

He married and had a daughter.
