Richard Maximilian Akwei (January 15, 1928-September 15, 1977) is a Ghanaian diplomat. He was Ghana’s Ambassador to Mexico from 1964 to 1965, Permanent Representative of Ghana to the United Nations Offices in Geneva and Ambassador to Switzerland from 1965 to 1967, and Permanent Representative of Ghana to the United Nations in New York from 1967 to 1972.
