Richard Riakporhe

Richard Riakporhe, (born 5 January 1990) is a British professional boxer. He is a cruiserweight boxer from South London, where he was born to Nigerian parents and raised. The famous boxing journalist Ryan Songalia and former 2-time world champion compared Riakporhe to WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder due to his physic and power mirroring Deontay. [1] [2] Richard was selected to represent England against international oppositions on two occasions and has been boxing since the age of 19 with a total of 8 years competitive experience.

Amateur career: Richard began boxing in 2008, aged 18, at the Lynn ABC Amateur Boxing Club. South East South London.

During his 35-bout amateur career with Lynn ABC, Riakporhe had a high KO percentage (31 out of 35) and won the ABA Novice championship in 2012. He had his pro debut on the 6th of August 1016 at York Hall, defeating Jason Jones on points in four rounds.[3] [4]
