Ring My Bell (Korean: 우리집에 놀러와!) is a Korean yuri manhwa series written and illustrated by Yeongol. The manhua was serialized online via Bomtoon from June 19, 2019, to October 31, 2020. The story follows Mai Sohn, an young webcomic artist who lands a publishing deal to create romance comics just as her girlfriend abruptly dumps her. It was published digitally in English by Tapas in 2020.[1]

Plot[edit]

Mai Sohn couldn't be happier after the success of indie webcomic leads to a major publisher signing her to create a new webcomic about relationships. However, inspiration is suddenly hard to find when her girlfriend abruptly dumps her. To make matter worse, Mai keeps running into her possibly homophobic neighbour, who is fine with her one moment and then awkward with the next.

Reception[edit]

Kat Calamia, writing for PopVerse, praised Ring My Bell's supporting characters for being as interesting than the main character; noting that "Mai’s bakery store owner best friend and Chungyeon’s childhood (formerly homophobic) friend create complex foils that allow interpersonal relationships (platonic and romantic) to drive this narrative."[2] Brianna Albert, writing for the Comic Book Resources, included Ring My Bell in her "15 Best Slice Of Life Manhwa For Fans Of Manga".[3]
