History
Founded on October 1, 1967, in Ottertail Countys county seat, Fergus Falls by John Ringdahl with two ambulances, a 1959 Cadillac, and a 1958 DeSoto. Over time Ringdahl acquired the ambulance services in Lisbon, North Dakota, Jamestown, North Dakota, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota and Casselton, North Dakota[1]
Para-corp
In the early 2000s, John Ringdahls son, who had received ownership from his father due to his increased age founded a sister organization, known as Para-Corp a federal ambulance contractor allowing Ringdahl EMTs and Paramedics to be deployed in Incident Command strike teams to assist after natural disasters. In the early 2010s Para-Corp expanded, allowing its employees to train with the Minnesota DNR to be fully trained wildland firefighters [2]
