Rishab Sharma

Rishab Sharma (born 17 September 1998) known professionally as Rishab Rikhiram Sharma is an Indian sitar player and composer. He is the son of luthier Sanjay Rikhiram and youngest disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar.[1]

He has played for Indian Television Shows such as Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz and 'Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega'.

In the show 'Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega' Moved by his performance, Bollywood music director Anu Malik made his way on stage and removed the ring from his finger and gifted it to Rishab as a token of appreciation. He later revealed that the ring is not an ordinary one and is the same one which Farah Khan had gifted him during the shoot of the film Main Hoon Na.[2]

Rishab also performed at the Howdy Modi event (22 September 2019) in a gathering of more than 60,000 people.[3]

During the Coronavirus lockdown, Rishab was invited to a virtual session on Indian Music at the USIBC India Ideas Summit & 45th Annual Meeting (July 21, 2020).[4][5]
