Kristifor Risto Popović (Serbian Cyrillic: Kристифор Ристо Поповић; Boka Kotorska, Republic of Venice, 1770 - Trieste, Austria-Hungary, 1845) was a Serbian shipowner based in Trieste during the first half of the 19th century.[1]

From Boka Kotorska came Kristifor (Risto) Popović of the famed, Serbian merchant family Popović, shipowner and famous naval captain of the Venetian Republic who was decorated for numerous war victories. He moved to Trieste at the turn of the 19th century (1806). His sons were as brave. Špiro Popović with his entire crew from his father's ship Navigacione helped in the sea battle at Navarin during the Greek War of Independence. Brother Drago Popović on another Risto Popović-owned vessel with his crew helped many refugees to flee from the blocked Negropont.

Risto Popović gained enormous wealth and bought a magnificent palace overlooking the Adriatic sea. From marriage with Anastasia Cvetković, sons were born: Špiro, Kotor, Nikola and Drago. Špiro was the president of the Serbian church community in Trieste as many as nine elected times. He took part in the Greek-Turkish war with his younger brother Drago.[2]
