[Riverwood (band)] (2018–present) is an Egyptian band that is well known for playing metal music that is influenced by different cultures[1]
Biography[edit]
Riverwood is a 5-piece Egyptian Progressive Metal band from Alexandria, Egypt. The band formed in 2018 from a collection of talented musicians who met during a metal festival in Alexandria in 2017 and who all just couldn't get enough Opeth , Nightingale and Kamelot. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses heavy metal riffs and middle eastern sounds with death metal growls and clean vocals mixed together that will make you want to float away on a dream cloud.
Now hailed as 'One of 2018's top 20 folk metal albums' by World Of Metal magazine, Riverwood now top almost 1000000 streams on Streaming platforms and have performed at the iconic Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The band has announced the release date of their new album "Shadows And Flames" to be on the 7th of Jan, 2022.[2]
