Rizwan Anwar is a Pakistani social entrepreneur and global youth advocate for the United Nations. He is the chairman and founder of Youth Revolution Clan, an organization aimed at empowering young girls and women and providing opportunities for Pakistani university students to translate their ideas into action through social entrepreneurship programs.
Early life and education[edit]
Rizwan Anwar was born and raised in Pakistan. He graduated from the University of Central Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan, with a degree in computer science.
Career[edit]
Rizwan's passion for social change and community service led him to become a social entrepreneur. He founded the Youth Revolution Clan, a platform for young people to serve their communities and bring positive and healthy changes to society. Through the organization, he has initiated several social entrepreneurship programs, especially in the field of strategic management and digital marketing. These programs provide an opportunity for Pakistani university students to propose business enterprises to solve local problems[1].[2]
In recognition of his work, Rizwan has received several awards, including the Chief Minister Youth Excellence Award, the Cultural Revolution Award by the United Nations Association of Civilization, the Young Social Entrepreneur Award by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, and the United Nations My World Survey Best Outreach Partner Award from the United Nations Millennium Campaign.
Rizwan's dedication to social change and community service also led him to become a global youth advocate for the United Nations. He was the first Pakistani to be selected among one hundred young people from all over the world to attend the meeting on United Nations Inter Agency Network on Youth Development. He also represented Pakistan in the 68th Session of the United Nations General Assembly as a youth delegate member. These opportunities have given Rizwan a platform to raise awareness about the issues facing young people in his community and around the world.[3]
