Roan Yellowthorn
Roan Yellowthorn is an indie rock project based in New York.[1] The project was formed in 2015[2] by singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Jackie Lee McLean.[3] McLean is often joined by producer and multi-instrumentalist Shawn Strack.[4]
Roan Yellowthorn signed to Blue Elan Records in 2018[5] and have released one album, Indigo.[6] Their sophomore album, produced by John Agnello, is forthcoming.[7] Along with being a musician, McLean is a published writer with essays in Talkhouse Magazine,[8] Curve Magazine,[9] and an ongoing weekly column in Atwood Magazine.[10] McLean is the daughter of singer/songwriter Don McLean.[11]
