Rob Brainin

Rob Brainin (Robert Lawrence Brainin), born October 18, 1971, is a Life Sciences Executive.
Brainin was born and raised in Rockville, Maryland, where he attended Rockville High School[1]. Later receiving a B.A. in Economics from Emory University, he went to Harvard Law School to earn his J.D.. After spending 3 years back in Georgia (U.S. state) with McKinsey & Company, he moved to San Diego to work for Invitrogen which later became Thermo Fisher Scientific. In 2015, he went to Illumina, Inc. where he was the VP/GM of Life Sciences and Applied Genomics. Two years later, he moved to Boston where he was brought in as the COO later becoming the CEO of Genuity Science (formerly WuXi NextCODE)[2][3]. After taking some time off during the pandemic, he has now joined Veracyte Inc. as the CBO and EVP[4] along with being a board member for Champions Oncology and Children's Tumor Foundation.
