Robbo Club is a Russia-based international network of educational centers teaching robotics to children.[1][2][3]

The Robbo Club company was founded in St. Petersburg by Pavel Frolov. Pavel Frolov is known in Russia as free software activist who devoted a lot of time to the transition of the Russian state to Linux family of operating systems for PCs and was one of the initiators of the official Russian decrees that were dedicated to this.[4] Currently, the Russian state is holding a campaign to abandon Windows in favor of Linux.[5]

Pavel Frolov actively helped Alexander Ponosov in the "Ponosov case" when Microsoft attacked a school teacher from the Russian hinterland, accusing him of computer piracy.[6] Using the example of Ponosov, Frolov practiced the introduction of PDF in Russian education.[7]

Pavel Frolov founded the Linuxcenter company for the development of open source movement in Russia.[8]

On the basis of the Linuxcenter, Frolov created "Robbo Club" that teaches children robotics. The company has branches in many Russian regions and in several countries of the world, for example, in Finland, Japan and China.

Linuxcenter is the official representative of the Arduino platform in Russia.

Linuxcenter published Linux Format paper magazine in Russia.
