Robert (Bob) Courtney Boone (born March 3, 1934, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio) is an American author of two poetry books and one short story book. He is currently working on his fourth book.

His first two books were published by Windjammer Adventure Publishing. He was featured on the cover of the March 2018 Canyon Lakes Living Magazine.

Prior to becoming a writer he was a manufacturer's representative selling to the interior design trade.

Literary career

Boone's books include From Mountains High To Rivers Grand - A Saga (2017); So, this guy thinks he's a Poet (2018); and Long Stories Short (2024).

Personal life

Boone was born in Cleveland, Ohio, lived in Shaker Heights, Ohio until he was 6 years old, when his family moved to Chagrin Falls, Ohio, where Boone has lived and has resided ever since. He was educated at Principia College where he was on the tennis and basketball teams. He graduated from Chagrin Falls, High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Camp Roberts, just north of Paso Robles, California from 1957 to 1959. Boone often incorporates the first names of his children and grandchildren into his poems and short stories.

His wife Marjorie (Marne) Giesecke passed away in 2008. They had three children, Debbie, Lori, and Chris. He has served on non-profit Boards in the Chagrin Falls and Cleveland Heights area.
