Robert “Rob” Gershon (born November 11, 1966 in Brooklyn, NY) is an American business executive who is the Chief Executive Officer of Bovie Medical Corporation.
Education
Gershon received an MBA from J.L. Kellogg School of Management, at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL; and a BSBA from The American University in Washington, D.C. where he attended on a presidential scholarship for academic excellence.
Career
Gershon spent the first 13 years of his career as a healthcare consultant working for several consultancies including Booz Allen Hamilton, KPMG, McManis Associates and Hamilton HMC. He began his medical device career at Covidien (formerly US Surgical) and held various roles of increasing responsibility over the next decade culminating with $1B of P&L responsibility for its surgical device business. After spending over two years at Henry Schein, Gershon was appointed CEO of Bovie Medical Corporation in December 2013 where he remains today.[1][2]
Personal
Gershon is married to Elana Gershon, a school psychologist, and they have 4 children: Aaron, Zachary, Jake and Alexa.
