Robert Naudts

Robert Naudts (15 December 1925 – 13 December 2017) was a Belgian football president. From 1985 until 1987, he was the president of the football club KAA Gent.

Biography

Naudts joined La Gantoise, today's KAA Gent, as a youth player at the age of ten. He later became a youth trainer. When René Hoste became chairman in 1964, Naudts and Freddy Mastelinck were asked to become vice-chairmen.

Freddy Mastelinck succeeded René Hoste as chairman in 1967. Robert Naudts was the interim chairman from 1974 to 1976, when he succeeded Mastelinck. In 1985 he became chairman as the successor of Albert De Meester. In 1988, he was succeeded by Jean Van Milders. Finally, on July 8, 1988, he was appointed honorary chairman by the board of directors of KAA Gent for his merits.
