Robert Szustkowski (born on July 1, 1965 in Piaseczno, Poland) is a Polish rally driver and sailor, founder and member of the R-Six Team sports crew.

Biography[edit]

Career[edit]

Szustkowski started his rally driver career in 2008, and since then he participated in numerous off-road rallies in Europe.[1], Asia[2][3], Africa[4] and South America[5], cooperating with another titled Polish racer - Jaroslaw Kazberuk. He represented Poland as a member of the Lotto Team[1]. He also founded his own team - R-Six Team - whose members in the first place were his son Robert Jan "Robin" Szustkowski and Jaroslaw Kazberuk.

In 2016, Szustkowski's R-Six Team team (in a larger lineup) started to take part in international sailing regattas, on their own HH66 catamaran. In 2016, the team won the Multihull Cup regatta[6], and in 2017 and 2018 they won the Cup of the Caribbean Antigua Sailing Week[7][8]. One of the biggest achievement of the R-Six Team is also winning the second place in the Rolex Fastnet Race in 2017, in the class of MOCRA multihulls[9]

The sailing crew of the R-Six Team, in addition to Robert Szustkowski, includes: Jarosław Kazberuk, Robert Janecki, Tomasz Januszewski, Jacek Wysocki, Albert Gryszczuk and Aleks Szustkowski[10]

Personal life[edit]

The older son of Robert Szustkowski, Robert Jan ("Robin") is also a successful rally driver with starts in the Dakar, Silk Way and Africa Eco Race rallies.

His younger son, Aleks, in 2018 began racing in the regattas, as a member of the R-Six Team.
