Robin Zeng (Ceng) or Ceng Yuqun (Chinese: 曾毓群; pinyin: Céng Yùqún) is a Chinese billionaire businessman. He is the founder and chairman of Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL), one of the world's largest suppliers of batteries for electric vehicles (market cap of over 100B$ as of Dec 2020).
In 2018, he was elected to the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Education[edit]
Zeng graduated from the Department of Shipbuilding Engineering at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1989, and earned his master's degree from the Department of Electronics and Information Engineering of the South China University of Technology in 2001. Zeng holds a Ph.D. in condensed matter physics from the Institute of Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
