Rock, Missouri
Rock is an unincorporated community in northern Vernon County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] The community was on a county road above Pryor Creek approximately four miles northwest of Metz.[2]
History[edit]
A post office called Rock was established in 1894, and remained in operation until 1904.[3] The community was named for a limestone rock outcropping near the original town site.[4]
