Rockaway Capital (full name Rockaway Capital SE, sometimes also referred to as just Rockaway) is a Czech investment group founded by, and belonging to Jakub Havrlant. It operates in 17 European countries and its portfolio companies employ more than 5000 people. Rockaway's aggregated revenues for the year 2019 amounted to 2.5 billion euros.[1]
Rockaway primarily specializes in e-commerce, e-travel, fintech, media, blockchain and venture capital.[1]
Rockaway's mission is to develop digital economies of selected markets via building, investing and acquisition of internet companies.[2]
Their motto "Hic Sunt Leones" is a Latin phrase, which would appear in old maps. It means "Here be lions" and is used to mark undiscovered areas, where no one has stepped foot before.[3]

Rockaway Ventures Fund
Rockaway Ventures Fund, founded in 2021, focuses on startups primarily in the CEE region,[13] which digitalize traditional industries and at the same time follow the environmental, social and corporate governance principles (ESG). It invests in startups and companies in more advanced stages of development - when they already have an existing product, customers and generate some income.[14]
Rockaway Ventures Fund portfolio includes companies such as Hubert Palán's and Daniel Hejl's Productboard, Vítek Horký's Brand Embassy, the Estonian startup Lingvist, and also the German company Vivere. [14]
Apart from others, in the year 2022 Rockaway Ventures Fund also invested in Spotawheel - a Greek platform selling used cars[15], or in the Czech platform for campervan rentals Campiri.[16]
Rockaway Blockchain Fund
Rockaway Blockchain Fund (RBF) is the biggest blockchain fund in Europe[17] and it focuses on platforms which aim to connect blockchain technologies, rather than just cryptocurrencies.[18]
Its portfolio consists of for example 1Inch, Solana, Terra, Sushiswap or Compound.[19]
In May 2022, RBF organized the Gateway to Cosmos conference, which focused on new opportunities of the Cosmos Network,[20] which was the largest in-person Cosmos-dedicated conference to date.[21]
Exits of Rockaway Capital
One of the most significant companies in Rockaway portfolio was Mall Group, which was sold to the Polish group Allegro in the beginning of 2022, along with the logistics operator WE|DO.[22]
