Rocket (delivery) is a company that provides food delivery service with a mobile application.
The service is a three-sided marketplace that connects customers, couriers and restaurants / shops. From 2021, Rocket delivery can be ordered in 6 European countries and more than 30 cities.
Company history[edit]
The service called Raketa was created in 2018 in Ukraine by Oleksiy Yukhymchuk and Stanislav Dmytryk.....[1]. The first delivery was executed on March 5, 2018 in Dnipro.
On November 11, 2019, the service started operating in Kyiv. The company opened its first dark kitchen” which works only for delivery. As of July 2021, Rocket has 5 “dark kitchens” in Kyiv[2].
From May 2020, Rocket couriers began to deliver from "Puzata Khata" restaurants[3].
On July 15, 2020, the company began working with McDonald's[4].
On July 16, 2020, the service started operating in Cherkasy, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Kherson, Bucha, Irpen, Brovary, Boryspil, and Kremenchug[5].
In 2020, the company's mobile application was among the ten most popular in Europe in the category of "Food and Beverage"[6].
On December 23, 2020, the service was renamed to Rocket and started operating in Cyprus[7].
In the spring of 2021, Rocket opened a European office in Amsterdam[8], and started operating in the Netherlands[9].
In June 2021, the service was launched in France[10] and Greece[11]. In October 2021, the service was launched in Portugal[12][13].
In 2021, Forbes Ukraine included Rocket in the TOP-30 ranking of Ukrainian startups[14].

The users can order delivery from partner stores, supermarkets and restaurants[15].
Social activities[edit]
Rocket, together with Visa, was a partner of the project by Starenki Charitable Foundation, which received the UN Award in the category "Overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic"[16].
In December 2020, the service joined the project "Look for your own in shelters", which draws attention to the problem of homeless animals[17]
