Rocketman Transit App

Rocketman is a free mobile transit app providing real-time public transit data for both iPhone and Android platforms. The app was built and launched in 2011 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada by Hussain Saleem.

The Rocketman app was originally built to service Toronto's public transit; the Toronto Transit Commission also known as the TTC. Since then it was expanded to provide real-time transit and arrival times for cities across Canada and the United States.

The Rocketman transit app worked with the Daily Bread Food Bank during the COVID-19 pandemic.[1]

Transit Crowding[edit]

During the pandemic, Rocketman launched transitcrowds.com [2] [3] [4] [5]. This tool allows commuters to look up any TTC bus route within the GTA and pulls historical transit crowding data by stop to show how crowded that particular bus might be.
