Roger Yat-Nork Chung is an assistant professor at Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and a recording artist of the Cantopop group the Chung Brothers.

Academic career

Chung enrolled in Johns Hopkins University in 2001, and got both his BA and his MHS in 2005.[1] He got his PhD degree from the University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Prof. Gabriel Leung in 2011.[2] His research focuses on health inequality, social determinants of health, and end-of-life care.[3][4][5][6][7] He joined CUHK's School of Public Health and Primary Care (SPHPC) as a Research Assistant Professor in 2011, and then as an Assistant Professor in 2015.[8] He is the Associate Director for its Centre for Bioethics and also for its Institute of Health Equity, the latter of which is co-directed by social epidemiologist Sir Michael Marmot.[9] He was chosen as the International Health Policy Fellow by the National Academy of Medicine in 2018.[7]

Music career

He is a recording artist and producer, and formed the musical duo the Chung Brothers with his brother Henry in 2009[10][11][12] Their collaborators include such international artists as Andraé Crouch, Ulf Wakenius, and Daniel Ho.[10] He released his first solo album Song Book in 2019, featuring artist Jezrael Lucero on keys.[13]
