Roger Marris was Chief Executive Officer at The Ritz Club, a London-based casino, and a member of the company’s board of directors from 2011 to 2020. During his tenure at the company, Marris administered a complete transformation of the casino’s operations, marketing and digital infrastructure, resulting in a 600% rise in gross gambling yield (GGY).

Marris began his career at The Ritz Club in 2005 as Managing Director of The Ritz Club Online. He bought with him digital expertise from his previous position as Head of Digital for Littlewoods, a UK sportsbook and retailer. Marris’ digital prowess would prove critical in establishing The Ritz Club Online as a leading e-gaming product for high net worth international customers. During his short time as Director of The Ritz Club Online, Marris executed a successful turnaround that brought in £5 million in profits in 18 months. He left the company in 2007 when it was acquired by 365 Media.

Roger Marris returned to The Ritz Club in 2011, this time as the CEO and COO. At the time, the casino was underperforming and in need of modernization. Marris completely transformed the casino’s offline and online operations, doubling active membership and improving revenue by 150%. When he left The Ritz Club in 2020, the business was valued at £110 million and had been awarded 2019 International Casino of the Year by the International Gaming Awards (IGA).

Roger Marris’ extensive experience in luxury hospitality, marketing, management and digital ventures was critical to The Ritz Club’s transformation. Now, he is bringing his unique skill set to a variety of new projects, including a Web 3.0 company involved in cryptocurrencies and NFTs. Marris also launched a D2C plant-based food business during Covid lockdown, a brand new concept that he organized from scratch.
