Roktopolash is an Indian Bengali language Drama streaming web series written and directed by Kamaleshwar Mukherjee. The series is produced by Dark-NRG.[1][2][3] The series starring Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Silajit Majumder, Debdut Ghosh, Ashim Roy Chowdhury, Ananya Sengupta, Moumita Pandit, Utsav Mukherjee and Roja Paromita are in main role.[4][5] The music of the web series is composed by Shibasish Banerjee.[6]
Plot[edit]
The story begin with flashbacks from the previous day. Six selected high achievers, an escort female, and a girl kid arrive a resort in the Kusumjhora forests as privileged guests. The plot is therefore set in the Resort in the middle of the forest.[7]
The visitors begin to mingle with one another Manasi Mukherjee and Dr. Mringanko, a couple with a child named Titir, are presented to us. Manasi is a socialite who serves on the board of an exclusive urben club and Mriganko is a doctor. They meet Pritha and Diganta, who also live in resort. Diganta is a social influencer and a well-known columnist for a major daily, whilst Pritha is a college instructor involved in the civil society movement for the oppressed. Nilay, a professional guitarist in a well-known band with a talent for photography, joins them. Adinath, a business magnate who deals in cosmetics, also comes on vacation with a hired escort girl half his age.[8]
The guests meet the resort's owner, Dipankar, who throws a cocktail supper that night after a spell of friendly exchange of words and feelings among themselves and sightseeing about the forest. At the meal, the guests' lives become more difficult as Dipankar probes into their histories after being delightfully sloshed. We learn about the characters' lives and the hidden unsolved crimes they have committed in the past. Meanwhile, a terrorist leader is apprehended by the CRPF and the police, and the forest becomes a combat zone that night. To safeguard the safety of the tourists, the resort gate is closed. Dipankar, his colleagues, and the visitors retire to their rooms.[7]
When the visitors of the Foxhole wake up the next morning, they discover that the resort's gates have not been locked in their security, but that they are just hostages, and the facility itself is a nest of extreme anarchists. Dipankar is the command's second extreme commander, and he is desperate to get the detained leader traded for the six hostages held in the resort.[8]
