From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Roland Mann is an American comic book writer and editor. He is known for being the founder, publisher, and editor of Silverline Comics as well as writing Cat & Mouse, a comic that ran for nearly two years, garnered critical acclaim, and was optioned by Trilogy Entertainment.

Career

Mann, along with Steven Butler, worked as editor and art director respectively for EF Graphics.[1] In 1987, they developed their line of comic books called Silverline. Mann would then go on to work as an editor at Malibu Comics from 1990 to 1994. After Marvel Comics bought Malibu Comics, Mann would then work for Marvel Comics until 1996 when the company filed for bankruptcy. [2]

Mann resurrected Silverline in 1997, but it only lasted until 2001.

After years out of the comics industry, Mann would write graphic novel adaptations of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.[3][4]

Mann has written about a hundred comics, and he brought Silverline Comics back in 2018 where he is the owner, publisher, and editor-in-chief.[5] [6]

Education

Mann earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing from Spalding University, a Master of Arts in English from the University of North Alabama, and a Bachelor of Science in Creative Writing from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mann teaches comic writing at Full Sail University.
