Rolleston Cricket Club is an amateur cricket club based in Rolleston-on-Dove, Staffordshire, England. The first recorded fixture featuring a Rolleston team was in 1871, the club’s foundations recognised in 1887.
Ground
Rolleston's ground is The Willows, a picturesque ground on Station Road in Rolleston-on-Dove, which includes a two-lane all-weather net facility. All four senior XI teams use the Willows, rated by the DCCL as a Grade A+ ground; the 3rd and 4th XIs typically playing on the adjacent square, the Alan Partington Memorial Ground, rated as a Grade A pitch by the DCCL.
Prior to 2016, the club played its 3rd and 4th XI fixtures at Marchington, the facility now used by Uttoxeter Cricket Club.[1]
History
The Club currently has four senior teams competing in the Derbyshire County Cricket League, a Friendly XI team (the Willowers), and a long established and very successful junior section that play competitive cricket in the South Derbyshire Development Group and Burton and District Youth League.[2]
