Ron Lenyk Springfield Park is a municipal park in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.[1] The park is located at 3325 The Credit Woodlands in the Credit Woodlands area.[1]
History
The park was formerly named Springfield Park (park ID P-025).[2] In 2017, Mississauga City Council approved a General Committee recommendation to rename Springfield Park to Ron Lenyk Springfield Park.[2]
Namesake
The park is named after Ron Lenyk (1947 to 2015), who worked at The Mississauga News and later served as chief executive officer of the Living Arts Centre.[3] He was also inducted into the Ontario Community Newspapers Association Hall of Fame in 2022.[4]

The park is open daily from dawn to 11:00 p.m.[1]
The Erindale Outdoor Pool is located inside Ron Lenyk Springfield Park.[5][6]
City open data lists a lit baseball diamond at the park's address (3325 The Credit Woodlands), associated with Ron Lenyk Springfield Park.[7]
In 2021, the City of Mississauga included Ron Lenyk Springfield Park among sites for new outdoor fitness areas in parks.[8]
