Early life and education
Goeke was born at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He lived in Lusby, Maryland for the first two years of his life. He moved to Huntsville, Alabama, when his parents were stationed there by the U.S. Army, and lived there for 8 years, where he attended J.E. Williams Elementary School and West Madison Elementary School. In 2020, he moved to Ellicott City, Maryland, where he now attends Ellicott Mills Middle School.
Goeke takes part in multiple school groups and clubs, including the Media Center Advisory Board, Media Center Internship Program, and EMBC TV27 TV crew. He also takes part in a number of musical ensembles, including the Ellicott Mills Middle School Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble, and the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra's Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble.
8 Minutes of Music History
Goeke created the podcast 8 Minutes of Music History in January of 2021. He published the podcast on January 23, 2021, with the first episode "Early Music - Episode 1". He published multiple more episodes, with the podcast gaining slight popularity in October of 2021. Goeke's mom, Amanda Goeke, helped write multiple episodes throughout.
8 Minutes of Music History picked up popularity after "Everywhere at the End of Time - Episode 27" was published. The episode continues to be the most-listened-to episode of the podcast.
