Roni Johan Kristoffer Bäck (born October 23 1993 Orimattila) is a Finnish YouTuber. He is educated to be an economics candidate and he is the managing director in his own company BackMedia Ltd.
Career
Bäck created his YouTube channel on July 21st, 2012, with the name RoniTheGamer. He changed his channel’s name to Roni Back in June 2016. Bäck has built his career patiently, and nowadays his job is to make videos through his company BackMedia Ltd. Bäck’s YouTube channel has over 600,000 subscribers, and he publishes new videos weekly. In the beginning of his career, he made mostly only gaming videos where he didn't show his face. This was due, among other things, to his bite defect that caused appearance pressures on him. His bite defect was fixed later by surgery, and he gathered the courage to show his face. In June 2017, Bäck published the YouTubers’ Handbook that he had written with Ville Kormilainen.
Bäck participated in Fort Boyard Finland – a reality-TV-show, which was filmed in the Summer of 2018 in France and was presented on the MTV3 channel in Fall 2018. With him were 17 other celebrities. Bäck was in the blue team that won the competition with Janni Hussi and Sami Uotila.
In Spring 2020, Bäck joined the TV show *Suurmestari* as one of the permanent competitors.
In September 2020, Bäck started as the host of the *Hauskat kotivideot* TV show. In the process, the name of the show was changed to *Hauskat kotivideot by Roni Back*.
In Spring 2021, Bäck participated in the *Big Brother Vip* TV show that included 14 celebrities.
In Fall 2022, Bäck published his second book, *Matkani somen huipulle* (My journey to the top of social media), where he tells about his life as a YouTuber.
In January 2023, Bäck told he is going to take a paternity vacation with an unspecified duration.
Private life
Bäck’s younger brother, Mike Bäck, is a former YouTuber. Roni Bäck is married to former badminton player Airi Bäck (maiden name Mikkelä). They had their first child in January 2023.
